  • In an effort to infuse real-world issues into the gameplay, Sprint 6 brings the Climate Strike feature to Meltdown. The game now empowers players to take a stand against climate change by initiating a strike that renders their coal plants inactive for a specific duration. This not only adds a novel layer to the strategic elements of the game but also serves as a subtle call to action, promoting environmental awareness among players.

                                Random Events Galore: Increased Upgrade Costs Challenge:


  • Diversifying the gameplay experience, Sprint 6 introduces a plethora of random events. The most impactful among them is the temporary increase in upgrade costs. When saving, players will be greeted with a reassuring "Saving..." message, and during loading, an exciting "Loading..." message will indicate progress. SevenSeasToGlory - Programmer Sprint 6   Ship Swaying Away From Islands  I got tasked with a card to have the Enemy Ships not collide and or run into the Islands. Being that the Islands are a super huge priority in this game we wanted the player feel immersive while playing so giving this task it's just right. Recruit Enemies This has been a highly requested element from our lead. She has always been asking for ally pirates. Given when you defeat a pirate a text prompt will pop up either sparing the pirate or defeating the pirate and if you spare the pirate, the pirate will be on your side fighting off other pirates.  Ally Pirates Fight Enemy Pirates I was also given a card when you recruit a pirate, that pirate would have to defend and protect you.  Friendly Pirate Class My producer also gave me a task to create a friendly pirate class. Bootleg Studios - Programmer Sprint 1 Interpolating Interactable Selections Interpolating selections is a unique technique in game development to create seamless transitions from one point to another. In our project, I implemented this technique to smoothly transition between different interactable objects in our scene such as the OrderWindow, Still, Computer, and Backyard, in all one smooth transition using Interpolation. Interpolating Camera With Button Clicks() This process was very straight foward to me. With my IEnumerator function I just attach the function that has the coroutine onto to button click.
