Flipbook Assignment
This was our last assignment. We had to create 330-400 pictures to create a story. Some accomplishments with this assignment was to create a simple story. It can be of your day, props, fight battle, etc. The intended composition of my scene was to create a story of my day. I showed myself going to store and doing Christmas shopping to get ideas for my family. Then heading off to work. A simple day of the life of James. I believe I did capture the audience eyes because, who isn't interested of someday day in the life. Everyone's life is unique and different. We all live in the same world but in a different life. Watching someone's day in the life is bringing change to someone's life. It can create a different perspective for them. I didn't really have any trouble creating this assignment too, it was really fun.One way to create a flipbook video is quite simple actually. You can easily create a video by just simply taking each photo frame by frame. what I mean by that is whenever you move, or move props or anything. Each movement has to be taken. Taken in order too. Once you captured about 330 - 400 pictures. Capture them onto your desktop and put them in Lightroom and put them in order. after that open up photoshop and create a timeline. To create a timeline head to Windows > Timeline. Then on File > Open, click on the first photo and click at the bottom sequence order. then another window will pop up saying what your frame rate wants to be. I chose 10. You can just from 3-10. After that you're done!
Hyper-Realism Assignment
The description of this assignment was to create illusion. Making something turn realistic that not very realistic. In this assignment this show a very personal and touching story actually. I was in a very dark mindset but a customer at work changed my whole perspective around. that's why there is me staring at the Jesus statue and me looking at myself looking at it. I'm not gonna go too in depth because hopefully you read my write up on my hyperrealism assignment but this assignment had a very big impact on my life, believe it or not. Anyways, this assignment was based upon illusions. it was very fun to create. The focal point of my image would be myself. I don't think the audience would understand what I'm achieving here is if they did not read my write up for this assignment but I could assume they can have a basic understanding what is happening. It's just me reflecting my decisions I have made and looking upon the Lord. I didn't have problem with the lightning either. Besides the room lighting I had to bring it up a little. Besides that everything went well.
One way to create these pictures are grabbing 3 different pictures. The way I created this one was. I took three photos. one in front of the tv, one behind a window, and a Jesus statue piece. Once you have all of them just bring the photos into photoshop. After that create a layer mask for each picture. Then create a clipping mask so those layer masks are being directed to each of the individual three pictures. After that click on the white masks and with the brush tool you can transition from black and white while still being the brush tool to get rid some of my borders around the tv, windows, and Jesus statue to make it look realistic.
Portrait Assignment
This assignment was really fun to make too. I captured a lot of portraits from my co-workers to even my girlfriend as well. Everyone at my work was really up to take a portrait shot too. This assignment was just to go out and take portrait shots. We were suppose to go out and take as much portrait shots we can take and then edit them in Photoshop. The top one is edited in Photoshop and the bottom one is original. They look sort of look the same but I can tell you the top one has slighter better lightning and more darker shadows. The focal point of the image is the person. I didn't have any trouble creating this assignment because this assignment was really fun to create. Plus I was able to finish the assignment at work too. I was just able to go to work and bring my camera. Work and do homework at the same time was pretty cool. I used the curve tool and level tools to adjust the lightning and shadows in the picture.
One way you can create a portrait photo is tilting your camera vertical. Make sure you have the appropriate setting for your lightning in the camera and simply just take the snap just close up to the face. The best portrait shots can be taken near flowers, fences, solid colors walls, etc. Make sure to capture the blurred out background by messing with the focus on the camera lenses. Do not shoot in automatic too, that is cheating. everything should be done in manual. Once captured, bring the photos into photoshop and adjust the lightning with the curve tools and level tools. Once finished, you are all set!
